Angelina Jolie has reportedly accused ex-husband Brad Pitt of domestic violence while claiming she has 'proof', according to a new court filing.

The filing, which was submitted on Friday, March 12, reads that the actress and her children are willing to provide 'proof and authority in support' in support of the claims.

Angelina has reportedly offered to provide a testimony, along with the "testimony of minor children," according to the court documents.

Family law expert and Ideal Legal Group, Inc. founder Evie P. Jeang explained to US Weekly: "If Angelina has more documentation to prove domestic violence towards her or the children, she can submit it as a supplemental offer to prove in trial.

"She can say these are the documentation in addition to what she already presented. This could mean it's a more recent instance (of domestic violence), or further documentation related to what was presented before."

The pair filed for divorce back in September of 2016, marking nearly five years of the ongoing custody battle over their children and estate.

Brad had previously been cleared from child abuse allegations by the FBI and Department of Child and Family Services, with the investigation being closed in November 22, 2016.

Numerous reports have alleged that the pair's eldest son Maddox had been the victim of Pitt's aggression on a flight, which prompted the investigation.

There also are reports that Maddox distance himself from his father following the incident.

Following the incident, Pitt revealed to the New York Times that he had admitted himself into Alcoholics Anonymous.

"I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privileges," he told the publication.

"You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgement, and therefore little judgement of yourself.

"It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself.

"The fact is, we all carry pain, grief and loss. We spend most of our time hiding it, but it's there, it's in you. So you open up those boxes," he explained.

The actor has reportedly been fighting for 50/50 custody of his minor children, while Angelina is hoping for physical custody.

The former couple share children Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12.
