Avatar 2 Gets Official Title Avatar: The Way Of Water

Avatar 2 Gets Official Title Avatar: The Way Of Water

The movie will be set a decade after the events of the first legendary film and a 3D trailer has been revealed.

The official title for the Avatar sequel has finally been released and it could give a tiny insight into what the film will be about.

Disney has revealed at CinemaCon that the highly anticipated sequel will be called Avatar: The Way of Water.

This might foreshadow how Sam Worthington's character learns more about the Na'vi people on Pandora...or it could be something completely different.

It'll be no surprise to the people who have been following all the social media posts about Avatar 2 as the main characters have been seen in a lot of water.

Those lucky to be at CinemaCon were shown a sneak peek at the upcoming film with a 3D teaser.

But don't worry, the whole world will get to see the same trailer when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in cinemas on May 6.

A week after that, the 3D teaser will officially drop online.

GameSpot reports how Avatar: The Way of Water will be set 10 years after the events of the first film.

It will 'tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure'.

Sounds juicy.

Zoe Saldana has already given us the first review of the film and she was pretty overwhelmed by the cast and crew's hard work.

Saldana, who plays Neytiri in the film franchise, cried for 20 minutes when she saw the movie towards the end of 2021.

According to the Independent Saldana told journalist Kevin McCarthy: "I can get choked up just talking about it, because I was able to see just 20 minutes of the second instalment right before the year ended, last year.

"And I was speechless, I was moved to tears," she said.

Saldana went on to say that the one thing no one really knows about Cameron is that he's 'also a big crier', adding that the 'story is going to be compelling'.

The actor then tried to prepare fans, saying: "Avatar 2 is definitely a leap from the Avatar 1, so I think you really have to brace yourself for it, but it’s going to be an adventure you will not forget."

December 14 can't come quick enough now.
