Britney Spears has sent a message to reassure worried fans that she is currently the 'happiest I've ever been in my life'.

Every time the pop star posts a video or photo on her social media accounts, the comments section is flooded with fans asking if she is okay.

The 38-year-old has been embroiled in a bitter family dispute over the past few years over her conservatorship, however, fans have been particularly worried about the singer because she has been MIA from social media for nearly two weeks.

One person wrote on Twitter: "Britney Spears hasn't posted in 2 weeks, this isn't usual. I hope that she's okay and just taking a break."

Another added: "If Britney doesn't post tomorrow... we should trend 'where is Britney' because she usually would have posted by now so something is up."

However, after no doubt getting way too many notifications for one person, Brit has posted two videos and a picture collage to assure everyone she's fine.

In the first video, the '...Baby One More Time' singer said: "So I know there have been a lot of comments and a lot of people saying a lot of different things about me. I just want guys to know that I am fine - I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life."

She's also uploaded a video of herself dancing, which has been a bit of a trend for the pop star during the coronavirus pandemic.

Britney wrote: "Dancing is such a vulnerable thing !!!! Performing for thousands of people is a cool feeling.....but I also find joy in dancing for myself!!!!! The language of dance is really beautiful!!!! You say so much without saying a word...using your body to express the way you feel !!!! Live and express your body any way you want."

The 38-year-old has been locked in a conservatorship that has essentially controlled every aspect of her life. Her lawyers are currently in the process of getting some of the rules and restrictions changed.

The conservatorship has been in place since 2008, with her father Jamie Spears appointed by the court to act as his daughter's legal guardian in the wake of her much-publicised personal struggles.

Britney's lawyer has requested to have her father removed as the head of her conservatorship.

In a filing seen by the BBC, Ingham explained that Britney wants to see the arrangement stay in place, but wishes to nominate a replacement conservator to be in charge of her affairs.

He wrote: "This is a voluntary conservatorship. Conservatee wishes to exercise her right to nominate a conservator of the estate."

Britney asked that the conservatorship title should be transferred to her temporary care manager Jodi Montgomery.
