Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are coming back to our TV screens.

Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould has confirmed the iconic Breaking Bad characters will be joining the final season of the spin-off.

Speaking on a panel at PaleyFest LA, Gould revealed the dynamic duo, played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, would guest star, but declined to elaborate further.

“I don’t want to spoil things for the audience, but I will say the first question we had when we started the show was, ‘Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah,” Gould said.

“How or the circumstances or anything, you’ll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that’s one of many things that I think you’ll discover this season."

Keen fans were so close to getting more details, with Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk adding 'If you can believe it, there’s more', but was cut-off by Gould.

While that isn't a whole lot to go off, Variety was able to tease a little more out of Odenkirk on the PaleyFest red carpet.

“I personally feel that the two shows — ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’ — are entwined even more than ever in the final season," he told the news outlet.

"And I think that’s surprising and cool, and it’s gonna make you want to watch Breaking Bad again."

The news has, of course, sent fans into a tizzy online with many taking to Twitter to share their excitement to see the return of the Breaking Bad pair.

One Twitter user commented: "Oh my god, you guys. Breathe."

A second added: "I need to see Walter White again."

A third speculated how they would tie in the two stories, adding: "Calling it now, the last episode of the final season will end with Saul meeting Walter and Jesse for the first time."

But some have expressed frustration with the announcement, accusing Gould of spoiling the surprise.

One social media user said: "Why would you tweet this and ruin a huge surprise for viewers? Come on."

A second added: "This would have been huge had it not been spoiled."

Either way, the cat is officially out of the bag - so it might be time for a Breaking Bad binge session to prepare.
