Elliot Page Reveals He’s Signed Up For His First Ever Dating App

Elliot Page Reveals He’s Signed Up For His First Ever Dating App

He’s enlisted the help of fellow Umbrella Academy co-star Ritu Arya to help get him set up.

Umbrella Academy star Elliot Page is back on the dating scene and has signed up for his first-ever dating app.

The 35-year-old decided it was prime time to get himself a dating profile, taking to his Instagram story to reveal the news.

He’s enlisted the help of fellow Umbrella Academy co-star Ritu Arya, who portrays Lila Pitts in the supernatural series, to help get set up.

He posted a snap of the two laying side by side in the most wholesome of manners, as they huddled over a device.

Page captioned the picture: “Ritu Arya guiding me on my first dating app ever.”

His decision to get into the online dating scene comes 18 months after filing for divorce from his wife Emma Portner, which happened just weeks after coming out as transgender in December 2020.

Emma said she ‘proudly’ supported Elliot's decision to come out as transgender and revealed the split had been amicable.

Page announced on his Instagram: “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot.

"I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.”

Elliot recently appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers and revealed his life had ‘improved drastically’ since transitioning.

“I think of the times in my life where I was the most uncomfortable, where I was the most unwell," he said.

"Those were the times where I was the most angry. And I was the most unkind to myself or self-righteous or all of those things. It’s improved my life drastically."

He added: “I hope the people who do have an issue with me, can either hear that or embrace that.”

Page’s recent Instagram story perhaps debunks the theory from September last year that the Juno actor was on the celebrity dating app Raya.

Page Six reported that Page’s profile included pictures of him and his dog and a snap of him in a sweatshirt that read ‘protect trans kids’.

Happy swiping, Elliot.
