Fans Are Calling For A Stranger Things Spin-Off Series Just About Steve And Robin

As far as good ideas go, this one is a rip-snorter.

Some certified genius on Twitter has suggested the next best thing to more episodes of Stranger Things is a spin-off series.

The suggested spin-off would star the iconic Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke) and the man behind those luxurious locks, Steve Harrington (Joe Keery).

But it wouldn't be in the same style as the infamous Netflix show.

That's too dark. Too scary. Too messed up.

The idea floated on social media wants to make us smile once again.

i need a robin & steve spin off that’s just a workplace buddy comedy where they get fired at the end of every season & have to start a completely different job at the start of the next one https://t.co/nbUSTq6JgT

The Twitter user said: "I need a Robin and Steve spin off that’s just a workplace buddy comedy where they get fired at the end of every season and have to start a completely different job at the start of the next one."

We don't know about you, but we are living for this idea.

Duffer Brothers, if you are reading this: first of all, welcome. Second of all, please make this happen.

But, back to the brilliant idea.

With the exception of Steve and Dustin, Steve and Robin are bloody iconic so we would absolutely love this idea to become a thing.

While Netflix, Stranger Things, Keery, and Hawke are yet to say anything about this superb suggestion, other spin-offs have already been bandied around.

Did someone say 'buddy comedy'!?
Netflix.

One of which includes Steve, his hair (courtesy of Farrah Fawcett Hairspray), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo)

Matarazzo - the cool cat also known for showing off his supreme vocal chops in Les Mis on Broadway - has teased the possibility of another show with his character and Steve.

Matarazzo did say that the show couldn't be a full standalone series... So is this the perfect moment to tack on a Steve and Robin spin-off?

We're going to push this one forever. It's the hill we die on, people. And we're dying on it from 'Running Up That Hill'.

Sorry about the pun, couldn't help it. Now back to our scheduled programming of spin-off chats.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Matarazzo said: "I think a Dustin-Steve spinoff would be good if it were in, like, a weird niche format. Like, they didn't do a full show of it."

GIVE US THIS SPIN-OFF PLS.

He then continued to elaborate, explaining: "Like a WandaVision type thing or like a web series type thing where on YouTube, there's weekly episodes of little hijinks they get into, like every now and again, like a skit show.

"That'd be great. You kind of break that format....I don't know if a Dustin and Steve full-series spinoff is sustainable.'

"What are they going to do for a whole season, just them?"

Nah, mate. Steve and Robin will sub in.

You can watch the first volume of Stranger Things season four now, with the second volume - comprising two film-length episodes – due to be released on 1 July on Netflix.
