Pop princess Kylie Minogue has been spotted in regional Victoria after rumours swirled the singer had quietly made her way to Melbourne.

After completing a 14-day hotel quarantine, Kylie touched down in country Victoria before introducing fellow artist James Reyn as the headliner for the final Sounds Better Together series of shows that celebrated the return of live music in Victoria.

In true Aussie style, Kylie's long term promoter Michael Gudinski insisted that the 'Spinning Around' singer received no special treatment while undergoing quarantine.

"She's been here a few weeks, she's ecstatic to be home with her family," Gudinski said.

"She's vibing to be home, she's going to stay in Australia for a while.

"There's no talk of her doing any live shows, but she's really impressed with the way we've been getting live music back in Victoria.

"She wanted to come up here especially and say a few words to encourage Mallacoota and the Australian music industry and obviously she's very close to James."

There have been loads of people fly into Australia in the last few months who have kicked up a stink about the state of their hotel quarantine.

High-level celebrities have also been allowed to skip quarantining in a hotel under the provision they do it at home, which has angered many who have had to put up with a small room.

But our beloved Kylie put up with it all, didn't complain, didn't start a massive Twitter thread or post about the food. She simply deal with it and got through it.

The pop princess couldn't help but be overjoyed to be back in the motherland.

"I've been watching from overseas, I've just arrived back home in Australia, I'm so so happy and grateful to be here in Mallacoota," Minogue said. "You can feel the love."

Athletes competing in the Australian Open have been particularly critical of their hotel quarantine in Melbourne, despite being warned they'd be the rules.

Novak Djokovic, Roberto Bautista Agut and Yulia Putintseva were among those to have vented their frustrations with the living standards and food options in their Melbourne-based hotels, which has since drawn criticism from around the world.

Among those to slam the tennis players' attitudes included Connor McGregor, who said they needed to 'get their act together'.

"I am surprised the tennis players would be kicking up," McGregor told Channel 10's The Project last month.

"We have got to correct ourselves here, you know. There is a lot going on. There is at lot at risk. It is everyone's duty here on this earth to do what they can.

"To get to compete in such a prestigious tennis tournament or any tournament, a two-week lockdown prior they should welcome that with open arms.

"I would urge the tennis players to get their act together and also embrace it and relish it and be happy they get to compete.

"People can't go to work and children can't even go to school. Professional athletes are complaining about a bit of isolation? C'mon, guys."
