He made sure there were metal thorns on the jewellery because he believes 'love is pain'.

Machine Gun Kelly has made a bizarre confession about his fiancée's engagement ring.

The pop-rock singer recently got down on one knee to propose to Megan Fox and thankfully for him she said yes.

The couple wasted no time in showing off the new bling and MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, revealed it was designed in a pretty specific way.

In an interview with Vogue, he said: "The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings.

"When it's together, it's held in place by a magnet. And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns.

"So, if she tries to take it off, it hurts."

He designed it that way because he believes 'love is pain', even though if she didn't love him and took off the ring then she would be in more pain. But hey, each to their own.

Machine Gun Kelly said part of the ring is a 'thoroughbred Colombian emerald' that was 'just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine'.

He then paired it with a diamond from ring designer Stephen Webster. The emerald represents her birth stone and the diamond is his birthstone.

If you think MGK making a ring that would be painful to remove is extreme then you clearly don't know much about the couple.

I mean, they apparently drank each other's blood after they got engaged and they were chained together at the fingertips during a red carpet appearance. So this seems pretty on brand for them.

When Megan announced they were engaged, she revealed just how amazing her proposal was.

Writing on Instagram, the Transformers star said: "In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree

"We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time.

"Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love.

"And the karma.

"Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.

"And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes...and then we drank each other's blood."

Let's hope Megan doesn't want to take the ring off any time soon because it sounds like that will hurt.
