Miles Teller Says He Would Be Keen To Play James Bond

Miles Teller Says He Would Be Keen To Play James Bond

The 35-year-old’s grandmother, Leona Flowers, recently took to Twitter to express that her grandson would be a suitable choice for 007.

Miles Teller has confirmed he’s keen to play James Bond after his grandma campaigned hard for him to snag the role on social media.

And look, we can't argue with granny, he’s young, fit and has a whimsical charm that would even make the harshest critics swoon.

The 35-year-old’s grandmother, Leona Flowers, recently took to Twitter to express that her grandson would be a suitable choice to replace Daniel Craig, writing: “They’re looking for an actor to replace Daniel Craig for future 007 movies.

“I think my grandson, Miles Teller, has proven that he has everything they’re looking for- talent, looks, strength, worldwide appeal & oh, so cool. He can be that guy!! Wouldn’t he be great?”

Well, Teller seems to agree with his grandmother that the role of Bond would be 'perfect' for him.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Teller was asked about his grandma wanting him to replace Daniel Craig.

Teller replied: "Yeah, I mean yeah, perfect.

"I think we're actors you know, so maybe you can mix it up a little bit."

Despite Teller quickly becoming one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood, it’s refreshing to see his family members rallying behind the actor as though he were unknown to casting directors.

And many seemed to agree with Leona, as one fan wrote: “Miles would do such a good job omg.”

Another said: “Actually, yeah, he would be good.”

A third person commented: “He’d be awesome grandma.”

While a former co-worker of Miles, Duncan Bravo, even chimed in, writing: “Leona, you may have something there! After working with Miles recently on The Offer, I’m so impressed with him, and what he can do!! Please tell him Duncan Bravo says Hi!”

However, some didn’t think the Top Gun: Maverick star had the chops to become the newest 007, as one person said: “Ma’am I’m sorry but no.”

While another commented: “Miles is in my top five actors but I don’t think he would make the best 007. I could be wrong as he’s nailed every good part he’s had though.”

Though upcoming plans for the next Bond instalment remain largely unknown, Barbara Broccoli, who served as a producer on previous films of the franchise, has confirmed that the title role will be a complete ‘reinvention’ of the character.

The Deadline reports that while speaking at a private event in London honouring her work, Broccoli said: “Nobody’s in the running.

“We’re working out where to go with him, we’re talking that through. There isn’t a script and we can’t come up with one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a reinvention of Bond.

“We’re reinventing who he is and that takes time. I’d say that filming is at least two years away.”

Well, in the meantime, Teller can practise making his best Vesper Martini.
