The Last Of Us TV Series Casts Game Of Thrones Star Bella Ramsey As Ellie

Bella Ramsey delighted fans around the world as Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones, and she's about to pick up another significant role.

The young actor has been cast as Ellie in the forthcoming TV adaptation of video game The Last of Us.

In the game, Ellie is a young orphan who is myteriously immune from a virus that has taken over the world.

A fixer named Joel is responsible with delivering Ellie to a group called The Fireflys so they can create a cure for the virus.

There were rumours that Oscar-winning actor and True Detective star Mahershala Ali was going to play Joel, however The Hollywood Reporter claims that was fake.

The TV adaptation is being developed by Craig Mazin, who brought us the hugely successful Chernobyl series via US TV network HBO.

Mazin has enlisted the help of video game director Neil Druckmann to bring his vision for the series to life.
