Leonardo DiCaprio denies rumours he is dating Maya Jama

Leonardo DiCaprio has squashed rumours he's sparked up a new romance with Love Island host Maya Jama after the pair were spotted in Paris together.

Internet users have already proven their investment in Leo's love life by tracking the various ages of his - typically under-25-year-old - partners, so when Leo and Maya were pictured leaving the Le Piaf club with friends in the city of love, people were quick to the conclusion that they must be dating.

At 28 years old, some people couldn't resist pointing out that Jama was a little bit older than some of DiCaprio's previous love interests, but the rumours only gained traction when reports emerged suggesting that they'd hung out multiple times.

A source for The Sun claimed the pair had been introduced by mutual friends before spending time together in London on the weekend of the BAFTAs and meeting up again in New York.

“Maya and Leo are in regular contact and have been on a string of dates," the source claimed over the weekend.

"They have both recently come out of long-term relationships so neither of them are rushing into anything — they are having fun and seeing how it goes.

“They live in different countries and Maya has had a long ­distance relationship before and knows it’s tough, so they are taking things a day at a time. Leo has certainly been wooing her though, he loves spending time with her.”

As one of the biggest movie start in the world, DiCaprio probably wouldn't have much difficulty when it comes to the wooing department. But while images from Paris certainly indicate Leo and Maya are acquainted, the Titanic star has insisted there's no romance going on.

A representative for the actor denied the rumours to the Mail Online, with another rep also telling the Metro that DiCaprio and Jama are just friends.

Speculation about the romance between the two came after Jama split from her former partner, basketball player Ben Simmons.

DiCaprio himself entered the dating pool again after he split from Camila Morrone, who he'd been dating for five years. Following their split, DiCaprio was linked with 27-year-old Gigi Hadid, though a source told People that Gigi had allegedly 'decided that she was done' with DiCaprio after a while.

"They are at very different places in life. She prioritizes being a mom,' the insider claimed. "It was never that serious anyway. It kind of just fizzled."
