Little Britain video game is branded ‘the worst video game ever’

Little Britain is one of those shows it feels like everybody was watching when it first came out, but has aged very badly ever since.

Episodes of the show are still available to watch on iPlayer, but they were previously taken down and re-edited to remove certain characters, though some of the scenes which have stayed in could easily have been left on the cutting room floor.

At the height of the show's popularity you could buy a whole range of Little Britain merchandise, including birthday cards, stationery and even an official video game.

And the game is about as dreadful as you'd expect, with TikToker @hoodarcade taking one for the team and picking up an old copy from CEX to discover how utterly terrible it was.

Playing the PSP version, they soon found out that it was just a series of boring and rubbish mini games featuring characters from the show sprinkled with offensive humour that would likely have been cut from the episodes.

When it was released in 2007, reviewers slammed it as one of the worst pieces of c**p they'd ever had the misfortune to play, hitting the game with terrible review scores that gave it an average of 1.6 out of 10.

It might possibly be the worst video game ever, and that's saying something considering the long list of absolute rubbish which can get churned out, often as a cheap tie-in to a popular property.

Really all that needs to be said about Little Britain: The Video Game was summed up by @hoodarcade as they said 'screw this game, never play it, never buy it'.

Still, if you've taken leave of your senses then one of the worst video games ever made could be yours, as long as you're willing to part with about £1.50 and do a bit of digging around in your local CEX.

But you could also go and buy some Freddos for a much more pleasant experience.

Little Britain creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams are currently working on new material for a follow up series.

Lucas, who recently left his job presenting The Great British Bake Off, said both he and Walliams had left their jobs to work on the scripts.

As with previous comedies Little Britain and Come Fly With Me, whatever they come up with next 'will be a show with us playing lots of characters'.

He told The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 'we got together and we started brainstorming', and that the pair would be 'thrilled to do it' if their new pitch ended up getting commissioned.

Lucas said any updated version of Little Britain would 'have to reflect how we all are now', saying the reason it succeeded back when it was released was because it reflected 'how we all were back when we made it'.
