Born in Tiverton to Carolyn and Jon Labbett, he attended Bishop Wordsworth’s School in Salisbury. From here, he gained a place at Exeter College, Oxford where he read Mathematics. In addition, he has a PGCE in Secondary Education from the University of Exeter and legal CPE and LPC qualifications from the University of South Wales. 

But whilst he has racked up a pretty impressive CV and has a significant net worth, life isn't all going to plan for 'The Beast'. Last year he made headlines after he was beaten in his 'worst ever performance' on The Chase. He lost against a target of just 11!
