Mark Labbett's incredible weight loss journey has led to several fans calling for him to star as the next James Bond, after The Chase star posted a photo of himself on Instagram looking dapper in a suit and tie.

Mark - who goes by the name of The Beast on the much-loved ITV quiz show - captioned his Instagram snap "What's more likely? Bit part in next Kingsman or Oddjob in the Goldfinger remake? #beastlybond."

In the comments, Labbett did get plenty of votes for being in the next Kingsman, but Bond clearly won the day - with many suggesting he could play 007 himself rather than Goldfinger villain Oddjob.

One commenter said that he'd make 'a handsome Oddjob'.

Another agreed: "Definitely Oddjob, but you'll need that hat. You're looking good."

A third said: "Oddjob definitely!! You are looking fabulous Mark."

Some went further though and suggested he should be eyeing up being Daniel Craig's replacement once the British actor steps aside.

One person wrote: "Wow! Looking good! Next James Bond!?"

Another suggested: "How about Jame[s] Bond?!"

A third commented: "More like James Bond himself. You look fabulous."

A 6'7'' tall Bond would certainly scare the hell out his enemies, although even with his fantastic weight loss, his height would certainly provide some new challenges in trying to remain discrete as a spy. However, we reckon he should go for it.

The image also attracted dozens of comments pointing out how amazing The Chase star is looking at the moment, and his impressive weight loss has been well-documented in recent months.

Back in March, Labbett revealed he'd lost a huge 10 stone, coming down from his heaviest weight of 29 stone.

According to The Sun, the Chaser now weighs in at 19 stone, having hit his heaviest weight in 2003 when he tipped the scales at 29 stone.

According to Labbett, it's the lightest he's been in 25 years. That's some good going.

He told The Sun: "I'm now under 20 stone, and I am really feeling the difference, as well as seeing it.

"I'm now down to a 44-inch waist, my chest is 54 inches, while my neck measurements are down to 19 inches, which is fantastic for me and the top end of a normal man's range.

"My knees really feel the difference. I will never be athletic again but I just move so much better for not carrying that extra weight."

Back then, he'd explained how excited he was to go shopping at M&S given that he could now fit into their XL chinos.

We hope he's got his wish, but don't be giving up the suit and tie yet, Mark, you're pulling off that look with style!
