Morena Baccarin hated kissing Ryan Reynolds and filming two-day sex scene with him in Deadpool

The actor has opened up on exactly how she felt about her co-star

Morena Baccarin has revealed that she did not enjoy kissing and filming a two-day sex scene with Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool one bit.

The pair got up close and personal in the first instalment of the Marvel film franchise, which first hit our screens back in 2016.

While it may have looked like a load of fun to audiences, the actor has since opened up about her experience on set with her co-star and exactly how she felt about shooting the more intimate scenes.

The duo starred in the hit action-adventure flick together with Reynolds playing the titular character and Baccarin playing his girlfriend, Vanessa.

For the most part, Deadpool was full to the brim with intense action scenes and fights however, for a brief moment in the movie, there was an equally jam-packed sex scene montage.

Baccarin revealed that she really didn't like shooting the saucier explicit scenes which saw the on-screen couple celebrate a whole array of occasions with some good old-fashioned bonking.

Dressed up in outfits to match the given festivity, the pair can be seen celebrating Christmas, Valentine's Day, International Women's Day and other national holidays wrapped up together in bed.

Baccarin once revealed to TV host Conan O'Brien back in 2017: "It was really fun... minus the two days of sex scenes, it was wonderful, the whole experience."

She went on to explain: "It took two days to shoot the sex scene, because I think it was us making sweet love for an entire calendar year. So it was all the holidays, you know. So we dressed differently for every one."

The pair filmed a variety of scenes for the film's sex montage.

The Homeland star went on to say that there was 'a lot left on the cutting room floor' before adding: "And I feel good about that - the part that was left out.

"I literally mean that was enough sex. Like nobody needs to see more than what was in the movie!"

And it wasn't just the sex scenes that proved to be difficult for the actor.

Speaking to People magazine back in 2018, Baccarin disclosed that even kissing Reynolds wasn't ideal due to his attire.

"I keep saying that kissing him in that mask is like kissing a giant latex condom," she told the news outlet.

"It basically just smells like rubber the entire time."

Yikes.

With that said, however, Baccarin has commented on how her co-star made the whole ordeal bearable due to his professionalism.

"[T]here's a lot of laughing. And that stuff is always uncomfortable," she told Collider in 2015, "But, we made the best of it."

She continued: "By the end of the day you're like 'Okay, where do you want me, how do you-?' You're like spreading your legs and you're like whatever, it's just, you get so used to each other."
