Star Wars fans are all over the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+, and may even be in for a treat with a second season.
The up-and-coming Moses Ingram plays the villain Inquisitor Reva Sevander in the series. But the real villains have been anonymous social media users spamming the Emmy-nominated star with vile racist abuse since the series launch.
Star Wars, Disney+, and Ewan McGregor have come out in support of the actor after she shared screenshots on her Instagram story, with one message reading, ‘You’re a diversity hire and you won’t be loved or remembered for this acting role’, according to Rolling Stone.

The name will ring a bell for Queen’s Gambit fans - Ingram played Jolene, a supporting character to Beth, in the hit Netflix series.

She also shone as Lady Macduff in Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth and as Amy Sharp in Micheal Bay’s Ambulance. All this bagged Ingram a well-deserved spot on Variety’s top ten actors to watch in 2021.
The 29-year-old was born in Maryland, USA, and plays a Jedi hunter in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+.
Ingram says she’s received hundreds of racist messages since the series launched, adding “there’s nothing anybody can do to stop this hate”.
