Ms. Marvel episodes have been being dropped on Disney Plus since 8th June 2022, and they have already left fans wanting more.

The show follows the adventures of Kamala Khan, a 16 year old high school student from Jersey City, who idolises superheroes such as the Avengers and Captain Marvel herself, so much so that she writes fanfiction about them.

Khan, played by Iman Vellani, has always struggled fitting in, but suddenly finds herself submerged by the fan-fictional world of her imagination when she discovers her cosmic energy harnessing powers.

After finding her feet, Khan becomes Ms. Marvel, and brings all fans watching from the comfort of their screens along for the ride as she learns to navigate her new abilities.

While being a love letter to Marvel fans, the show also has inspiring source material behind it.

The first volume of the Ms. Marvel’s comic won the Hugo Award for the best graphic story in 2015 and also gained praise for making a Muslim, American-Pakistani character their lead superhero.

Since airing, the show has shattered a Rotten Tomatoes rating record, with an impressive 96% rating and average audience score of 83%.

Considering the success of the Spiderman films, including No Way Home, which also boasts a 93% rating and a similar superhero origin story, it comes as no surprise that fans have been hooked on Ms. Marvel.

But, following the success of season one, the real question fans want answered is, will there be a season two of Ms. Marvel?

So, Will There Be A Ms. Marvel 2?

Currently, there are no official plans for there to be a second season of Ms. Marvel.

However, the show’s immediate success and impressive ratings might just sway Disney Plus towards renewing it.

Ms. Marvel was initially only intended as a limited series as a nod to the fans. But, producer Sana Amanat recently revealed her hopes for the show to be renewed.

For now though, fans can look forward to the show’s fourth episode due to launch on Disney Plus today, as well as the final two episodes, with the last due for release on 13th July.

The next time we will likely see Iman Vellani on our screens again will be in The Marvels, due in cinemas in July 2023.

Vellani is expected to star alongside some of Marvel and Hollywood’s biggest names, including Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Samuel L. Jackon (The Avengers) and Seo-joon (Parasite).
