Justin Bieber broke down in tears talking about Billie Eilish in an emotional interview.

Speaking to Apple Music's Zane Lowe for an intimate conversation, the 25-year-old opened up about the teenage sensation, saying he wanted to "protect" her.

Crying, he said: "You know, let her do her thing, and if she ever needs me, I'm gonna be here for her.

"I just want to protect her, I don't want her to lose it. I don't want her to go through anything I went through. I don't wish that upon anybody. So if she ever needs me, I'm just a call away."

After the interview was brought to her attention, Eilish, 18, shared a snippet from the conversation, along with some flashback photographs from her younger days as a huge Belieber.

The first was a snap of herself wearing a Justin Bieber t-shirt, while the others showed her bedroom walls adorned with posters of the 'What Do You Mean?' singer.

And it seems that Bieber has been a massive inspiration to Eilish, who recently revealed her theme song for the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, ahead of the film's release this April.

Eilish was unveiled as the artist behind the new Bond song at the beginning of this year, when it was announced that she and her brother Finneas O'Connell would be writing and recording the new track together.

Quoted in a tweet released by the official James Bond Twitter account, 18-year-old Eilish said: "It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour.

"James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I'm still in shock."

The franchise also said Eilish's forthcoming 007 theme would make her the 'youngest artist in history to write and record a James Bond theme song' - not bad for someone who's also just become the youngest person (and first woman, we should add) to win all four of the main Grammy categories, having scooped Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year at the 2020 ceremony.

The new Bond tune - also called No Time to Die - was teased yesterday with a short 13-second preview.

Despite the fact it was just a small taster of the track, it proved to be an immediate hit with fans, with one writing: "This gives me so many chills."

Another wrote: "Holy effin s**tttt!!!!! Sounds dope."

A third said: "Well, I love those 13 seconds, beautiful."
