Lewis Capaldi Presented With His Own Range Of Condoms At BRIT Awards

“It says ‘three extra small condoms’, and just because I’ve got a small penis, it doesn’t mean we have to band it about on the internet!"

Singer Lewis Capaldi was presented with his own range of personalised condoms at the BRIT Awards last night, much to his own delight.

Capaldi, 23, was speaking to Capital FM on the red carpet when he was shown a box of the, erm, unique contraceptive sheaths - the packaging of which was a nod to the line of condoms JLS once released.

After doing a shot with Capital FM presenter Sonny Jay (and then taking a swig of Buckfast straight after, naturally), Capaldi inspected the box and noticed it not only had his face on it, but also bore a slogan inspired by his hit single 'Hold Me While You Wait'.

Laughing as he read out the slogan on the box, Capaldi said: "It says 'Hold me while you wazz'. Is that what it says?!

"Listen, it says 'three extra small condoms', and just because I've got a small penis, it doesn't mean we have to band it about on the internet!"

Joking aside, and paraphrasing a JLS song, he added: "No, that's incredible. You do only get one shot, so make it count. You may never get that moment again, so catch that stuff."

Capaldi didn't do badly at last night's BRITs ceremony, having managed to scoop himself not one but two big awards: Best New Artist and Song of the Year for 'Someone You Loved'.

He was also nominated for the British Male Solo Artist award, and, thanks to his debut record Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, British Album.

However, as Capaldi headed onto the stage to collect his Best New Artist gong, his brief words were bleeped from the ITV broadcast of the ceremony, having been censored due to swearing.

He said: "Thank you very f***ing much, see you in a bit. Good night."

Short and simple. Nice.

On the night he also explained the story behind 'Someone You Love', which won him Song of the Year.

He said: "Contrary to popular belief, [a lot of] people think this song is about my ex-girlfriend, who you can now see every night on Love Island, but it's actually about my grandmother who sadly passed away a few years ago.

"I hope to God ITV don't contact her to be on a reality dating show."

Meanwhile, Mabel took home the Best Female Artist award and Billie Eilish won Best International Female.

Best Male Artist went to Stormzy, and Album of the Year to London rapper Dave.
