We're all beginning to realise the 2020 Christmas season might look a little different to its predecessors - office parties where you make a drunken tit out of yourself will likely be off the cards, while large family gatherings remain barred.

But there's one thing we'll always be able to rely on to get us into the festive spirit, and that's the back-catalogue of timeless Christmas songs, which return each year to bring some cheese into our lives.

And to keep the festive tunes flowing, a brand new music channel dedicated entirely to Christmas hits has just launched.

In a bid to 'lift the country's spirits', Trace Xmas will provide a '24/7 Christmas soundtrack for the next three months', having gone live today on Sky Channel 364.

The channel comes from Trace TV, which focuses on urban and afro-urban music, lifestyle, news and culture.

Now Trace branched out into the feel-good world of festivity, reflecting its 'mission to make everyone's home more magical while they stay home and stay safe'.

The channel will feature a range of classic Christmas hits through to the newest seasonal tracks, meaning you'll find everyone from Mariah Carey, Wham and Destiny's Child to the likes of Ariana Grande, Little Mix and John Legend.

Along with the tunes, Trace will also bring viewers exclusive celebrity takeovers and a 'sack load of festive content', with stars including Anthony and Duncan from Blue, Tulisa, Ella Eyre and more picking their favourite 'festive floor fillers'.

With many people working from home or facing tighter local lockdown restrictions, you'll be able to party it up from the comfort of your sofa - all you'll have to do is pop the telly on and bring out the sherry.

Olivier Laouchez, Co-founder, Chairman & CEO, Trace TV, said: "It's never too early to spread the Christmas joy, and we think even the most anti-Christmas grinches will be happy to see the festivities arrive early this year. It's been a challenging year and so we wanted to reinvent our offering and bring the very best Yuletide content to homes across the UK."
