The company which had its CEO allegedly caught on a camera with ‘another woman’ has slammed a ‘fake statement’ from him.
If you’ve got no idea of what happened at this point, then we’re clearly on very different sides of the internet - so, let me set the scene for you.
Chris Martin and his band Coldplay were performing in Boston, US, earlier this week when he sang and chatted to audience members with a camera.
The camera then focused on a man stood with his arms wrapped around a woman, swaying along as they were beamed on to the big screen. But what could have seemed like a pretty innocent romantic moment to those at the concert ended up going viral when they had a big reaction.

The pair quickly sprung apart, hiding from the camera as those around them laughed and looked pretty mortified.
And obviously, social media sleuths were just as fast to spring onto it, claiming the people involved were none other than the CEO of tech company Astronomer, Andy Byron, and its Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot.
Byron is married, while Cabot is divorced and it’s not clear whether she remarried. Neither of them have publicly addressed the viral video or confirmed that it's them, with Martin heard alleging in the video at the time: “Oh look at these two. Either they are having an affair or they’re just really shy.”
With it currently being the hot thing on socials, people got pretty excited when a statement was shared online supposedly ‘from Byron’.

I mean come on, the fact it was shared by an account whose initials shorten to ‘P.Enis’ should have been a bit of a red flag. And yet, some news sites still fell for it.
“I want to acknowledge the moment that’s been circulating online, and the disappointment it’s caused,” the apparent fake statement read. "I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.”

The statement, and others similar, have quickly been debunked, with Astronomer’s Taylor Jones telling Men’s Journal: “This is not a real statement.”
Byron and Cabot are still yet to say anything, as X is having an absolute field day with sharing memes of the moment and deep diving into their LinkedIns.
LADbible contacted Astronomer for comment.
