Coldplay fans grab last-minute Wembley tickets as beloved song returns to setlist

There's nothing better than hearing your favourite song live, and this week Coldplay fans got to hear a tune that had been sorely missed from their set list.

Concertgoers at Music of the Spheres gigs in Wembley shared their joy that Up&Up has made a comeback to the agenda, with the full band playing it for the first time since 2017.

If you missed out on Coldplay tickets and the FOMO has kicked in now that they've played a rarely-heard track like that, there's still time to bag tickets.

Due to planned tube strikes, two of the Wembley Stadium dates have been rescheduled, with the Sunday 7 show now on Saturday September 6, and the Monday 8 date is now Friday, September 12.

The band apologised for the change and for rescheduling but insisted it was for safety as it wasn't possible to transport that many people without the tube.

Why is Up&Up so popular?

Taken from Coldplay's seventh album, 'A Head Full of Dreams', the track is rarely played live, with one fan declaring: "This song deserves to be played every night!"

Frontman Chris Martin initially performed a shortened version solo during the 'songbook' section of the show, but has been improvising verses and mixing things up.

Purists are happy to hear the song as it was originally intended for the first time in eight years.
