Today is the first day that you can buy tickets to the Oasis reunion tour, provided you've already signed up to their ballot and are one of the lucky ones to get picked.

While most tickets go on general sale tomorrow morning (31 August), some will be buyable today for those who entered into the ballot in time and got chosen to be the first in line for Oasis.

That ballot closed on Wednesday (28 August) so there's no joining up now, and randomly selected people are getting emails to tell them how fortunate they are.

And in those emails are pre-sale codes which will let you buy tickets on the Oasis website.

The band put out a statement letting people know that the deadline for confirmation emails that say you're in the ballot had been extended to 10am today (30 August) after a massive surge in late entries.

"Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out," Oasis said in a statement.

"The deadline to confirm your entry has now been extended to 10am BST tomorrow morning (Friday 30 August).

"If successful in the ballot, you will be contacted tomorrow by 5pm BST with pre-sale access information.

"Thank you for your patience."

So there you have it, by now you should have your confirmation as to whether you're in the ballot or not, and by 5pm, you ought to know if you were successful and have your code.

The pre-sale will take place between 7pm and 10pm tonight, BST.

You only get one code per ballot entry and it can't be linked to any other email address than the one it was sent to.

In the pre-sale you'll be able to buy up to four tickets, but even if you have a code that means you succeeded in the ballot then you'll want to act fast to make sure you don't end up without anything.

There are no guarantees that getting a code will mean you get tickets, it's going to happen on a first come, first served basis.

If you got your code but all the pre-sale tickets are already gone then sadly you're going to have to join the mad scramble with everyone else starting tomorrow.

The pre-sale hasn't even started yet and there are already websites claiming to be flogging Oasis tickets for up to £1,700.

The tickets were listed on German reselling site Ticombo, but the listings were later taken down.

You can re-sell your Oasis tickets, but only through Twickets or Ticketmaster Fan-to-Fan, and only for cost price which is however much it's worth and the booking fee you paid for it.

Where will Oasis tickets be sold?

Fans will be able to buy tickets from 9am on Saturday 31st August from SEE Tickets, Ticketmaster and GIGSANDTOURS. Hospitality packages will also be available via Seat Unique.

Tickets will be limited to four per household, per show. Under 14s will not be allowed and those under 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult.
