Viewers are praising a new Netflix series which already has 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Watch the trailer below:
Heartstopper sees teenagers Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) 'discover their unlikely friendship might be something more as they navigate school and young love'.
The series, adapted from a graphic novel by Alice Oseman, has got viewers speaking highly of it on social media.
One person wrote: "Just finished the Heartstopper live action Netflix show.
"ITS SO GOOD OMG THE CASTING IS PERFECT!!"
Another commented: "Literally so good i binge watched all episodes in one go."
"Heartstopper is gonna be the END of me," wrote a third.
Another claimed: "I havent stopped sobbing since i finished the series is this why they call it Heartstopper?"
Oscar-winning The Favourite star Olivia Colman also stars in a supporting role and viewers were shocked.
One fan wrote: “I just finished episode 1 and I’m sorry but THEE Olivia Colman is Nick’s mom?! Hello?! #Heartstopper.”
A second commented: "OMG Olivia Colman plays Nick’s mum I’m dying that’s so freaking perfect – great casting Heartstopper."
Another added: “LMAO wait how did @Netflix hide that Olivia Colman was in Heartstopper.”
“It’s Olivia f**king Colman this cast is perfect,” another fan wrote. “She will make me cry a lot.”
“I personally think any show should have an Olivia Colman cameo without announcing it till the end just to make me scream and cry every time #Heartstopper,” wrote another.
Osman told Metro: “I thought there was no way she would want to be part of this or anyone famous would want to be part of this. I was proven wrong!”
In an interview with Digital Spy, Joe Locke, speaking of the fans, admitted: "It's been great. It's been overwhelming in a good way.
"They're all so supportive. It cushions out the overwhelmingness of it, just how lovely everyone is."
Kit Connor added: "Yeah. It's been so, so supportive, and overly positive.
"And I think that's one of the great things. By the nature of it being a graphic novel series, we had that amazing fanbase kind of translate over to us. They've all got such a passion about these characters."
Connor also revealed that there was some pressure involved by playing such beloved characters.
He said: "That's definitely something that we all thought about when we first went into it. These characters are so important to a lot of people.
"But I think one of the first things that the whole Heartstopper team kind of preached to us when we first got our roles was just to have fun with it, and try to do our own thing with it."
