Amy Bradley’s disappearance 27 years ago has finally seen some updates recently in the aftermath of Netflix’s hit documentary Amy Bradley is Missing.

This has led Brad Bradley, Amy’s brother, to come out and state that there has been a ‘verified sighting’ of her by a former Curacao police officer.

Amy disappeared on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 1998 and, despite extensive searches, neither she nor a body has been found in the search.

Following Brad’s claim that a former police officer had made a ‘verified sighting’ of Amy it will leave those interested in the case off the back of the Netflix documentary curious what other updates FBI and police have given on the case.

The FBI maintain a missing persons page for Amy Bradley and have simulations of what she would look like now

Despite her having disappeared in 1998 and being declared ‘legally dead’ in 1999, the FBI continues to maintain a missing persons page for her.

This includes details surrounding the $25,000 reward for her capture, her specific tattoos, and simulations of what she may look like at 42 years old.

The FBI reshared this page following the documentary’s success, hoping that it may cause new leads to come forward in the case.

Amy’s family’s long held belief is that Amy is somehow still alive and was trafficked off of the ship.

The biggest sign this could true is photos found on a sex worker’s website based out of the Caribbean of a woman who looks just like Amy called Jas.

The FBI investigated the photos, with one forensic analysist even deciding that they very well could be her.

Ultimately however, the FBI couldn’t pursue them any further as they were unable to find the woman in the photos or definitively prove they were Amy.

The documentary led Amy’s family to claim that 100s of leads had come about, one of which Brad Bradley has since spoken about.

In a new interview her brother said there had been a ‘verified’ sighting of her.

Brad said that Herman Goilo, a Curaçao police officer, had said that he saw Amy on the island as recently as 2016.

Speaking about this, Brad said: “They are still talking to him… He's told verifiable truths with verifiable lies mixed in. Hopefully something will come from it.

"I'd like to feel positive about it, but we've been told a bunch of crap by a bunch of people.

“We do think she's still alive… my parents and I have always shared this gut feeling that she's still alive. And I know that to a lot of people, they can't relate to that feeling, but we're not going to stop feeling that way unless we're given a reason to."
