Logan Paul has issued an apology to his brother Jake Paul after his victory against Mike Tyson in a heavyweight boxing match.

The event was watched by tens of millions of people around the world when it broadcast live on Netflix from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, last Friday (15 November).

With the undercard starting at 1am GMT on Saturday, and Paul and Tyson doing their ring walks around 4am, it was an early or late one for Brits, depending on if you had a nap beforehand or did an all-nighter.

Both fighters have since been suspended from boxing, with fans divided over the actual outcome of the bout between Tyson, 58, and Paul, 27.

There was no knockout like both fighters promised.

Instead, it went the full eight rounds, after which Paul was declared the winner by all three judges.

Winning by six rounds to two, Paul managed to land a respectable 78 punches on Tyson from 278 thrown (28 percent). Tyson could only manage 18 landed punches, throwing 97 (18 percent).

As the result was announced, though, older brother Logan accidentally upset the vital celebratory moment for Jake, knocking his hat off in front of his head as he celebrated the winning announcement.

The reason why? He was spraying Jake Paul's body spray in to the air to celebrate.

Now, in a new video posted to Instagram, Logan has apologised and explained what happened during the viral moment.

"There's a lot of people asking about this moment from the fight, they're saying, 'why did you know your brother's hat off? What were you spraying in that yellow can? Did you try and steal his moment?'," Logan says in the clip.

"No, you guys. I was just trying to help Jake with his new W body spray but my enthusiasm and my poor motor skills got the best of me.

"I knocked his hat off from the back. It went to the floor I felt so stupid."

He adds: "Jake, I'm sorry. I ruined one of the biggest moments of your life.

"But guess what buddy? You smelled great thanks to me."

After the fight, Tyson said he was up for taking on the older Paul brother, to which Logan responded: "I'd kill you, Mike."

The last time Logan Paul was in a boxing ring, he was fighting against former UFC fighter, Dillon Danis. He won via disqualification.

Before that, he had squared off against boxing icon Floyd Mayweather in Miami, Florida.

Logan twice boxed against the- rival and now-business partner, KSI, drawing the first fight before losing the rematch.
