Netflix’s newest show House of Guinness has been a huge success in the UK, rocketing straight to the top of the streaming charts.
Despite this, the streamer has yet to announce whether House of Guinness fans can expect a season two from the Netflix series.
Starring Louis Partridge, Anthony Boyle, Niamh McCormack, James Norton, and Jack Gleeson, the series follows the children of Sir Benjamin Guinness’s attempts to maintain control of Guinness after his death.

Though the series has seen a mixed reaction from critics and has been met with some quite specific criticism by fans, the show has developed a rabid core fanbase already, who are desperate for a second season. Whilst there has yet to be an official answer regarding a season two, however, the signs all appear to be pointing in a fairly positive direction.
In addition to the social media buzz, the series has been the number one show in the UK on Netflix since its release and is among the most successful on the platform overall.
This spells good news, as Netflix’s CEO, Ted Sarandos, has claimed in the past that Netflix ‘don’t cancel successful shows’.

Furthermore, The Sun claims to have spoken to insiders with knowledge of the industry, and if you believe them, it looks good for House of Guinness fans.
The TV insider told the publication: “Not only have viewers been binging the series, it's also achieved the unusual feat of winning over most telly critics too.
“Which is no wonder given the huge budget the show had, along with a stellar cast and, of course, the fact that it comes from the pen of Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.”

Knight has also been speaking about potential future seasons, with the Peaky Blinders creator being very open about his desire to bring the show back for multiple seasons.

In an interview with Screenrant, he spoke about his desire to keep the show going ‘all the way to the 20th century’ and told a screening of the show that he was hoping for seasons two, three, and four of House of Guinness.
Fans will also be hoping for a second season to find out what happens after the season one finale cliffhanger. With a heavy spoiler warning in place, the series ends with Patrick Cochrane taking a shot at Arthur Guinness.
Whilst we know that Arthur himself doesn’t die if they follow the real-life story of the Guinness family, that hasn’t stopped theories from abounding as to who it was that got shot, with the finale leaving it unclear.

One fan on Reddit, though, thinks they’ve figured it out, and it’s Patrick’s sister, Ellen.

The fan said in a comment: “I bet it’s Ellen who will die. A fictional character, doomed love affair going nowhere, love interest starts to care about the wife, Ellen is no longer needed to the fenians… her being a scapegoat to both Guinness’s machinations and her brother’s violent tendencies will be fitting.
“I don’t see where her arc could go next season so I think she will be killed off.”
Here’s hoping for all fans of the character that the theory is wrong, but all signs seem to point to it being pretty spot on if House of Guinness does return for a season two.
LADbible Group has contacted Netflix for comment.
