Netflix has dropped the first trailer for season two of Monster and the killers have already been confirmed.

The streaming site has also announced the show's release date, and there's not long to wait.

Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story originally landed on Netflix back in 2022 and fans have been itching for a second season of the crime drama ever since.

That first season did so well it became one of the platform's most-watched shows of all time, so its hardly a surprise it's being brought back.

And it was announced earlier this year that creators Ryan Murphy and Ina Brennan are looking at another high-profile case from the US.

Yep, this second season won't just look at one notorious serial killer, but two.

In 1989, the names Lyle and Erik Mendendez became notorious as the brothers were suspects in the case of their parent's deaths.

The men fatally shot their parents, José and Mary Louise Menéndez, in their Beverly Hills home, with the Netflix series covering the events surrounding their deaths and the brother's infamous court case.

They cited years of sexual, emotional and physical abuse behind the reasoning of the acts, but it was argued they only did it to get a share of the family's fortune.

The Menéndez pair were both convicted of first-degree murder and were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The parents will be played by Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny while new faces Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch are set to play the killer brothers.
