The three-year wait for Stranger Things 5 is almost over for fans in the UK, as creators issue a watch warning.
However, given that the fourth season of the Netflix show dropped in 2022, many viewers have actually forgot what happened.
In the finale, the gang split up to take down Vecna (real name Henry Creel), the villain created by Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) when she used her powers to send Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower) through dimensions.

Creel, who previously wanted to recruit Eleven when working in the research lab where she was tested on, turned into Vecna and set his sights on opening the gates that separates Hawkins from the Upside Down. In doing so, he kills four students, including Max (Sadie Sink), who comes back to life after Eleven intervenes.
Although the group are able to survive Vecna this time, Eleven ends up giving him a lifeline during her attempts to resurrect Max.
The four gates between the worlds rupture, and the Upside Down begins to merge with Hawkins - with the people of Hawkins none the wiser and believe it's an earthquake that has claimed the lives of the missing.
Season five will follow the aftermath, as series regulars such as Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Finn Wolfhard are set to return.
If your memory needs a jog though, there are four episodes you can watch that will get you ready for season five:

While that all might sound a little too much, showrunner Matt Duffer has said that he doesn't 'want anyone to overthink'.
“It’s fun actually when [the fans] have all these theories as to what’s going to happen. It’s fun to read them,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
“The vast majority of them are wrong. Occasionally, someone gets something.”
He explained: “It’s not like I don’t want people going in with certain expectations, because whatever expectations they have, hopefully we live up to them.

“But I really hope they go in like they would to any other season and enjoy it for what it is.
“I would get some chocolate pudding, some Eggos, some popcorn, whatever you need to help enhance the experience.”
Matt also confirmed that no new monsters will appear in the last season, adding: “No, I don’t think [so]. We talked about it, but a lot of this season is about returning to the prior seasons, and we didn’t want to overstuff it with new creatures.
“So as we worked on the season, we thought, ‘Let’s just have fun with what we’ve previously established.’”
Stranger Things 5 volume one releases in the UK November 27, at 1am. Volume two will release Christmas Day, and the finale releases New Year’s Eve.
