As fans were gearing up for the Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley card, it seems some couldn't wait for the main event as a fight broke out in the crowd.

The men involved included a guy in a white t-shirt who got a knuckle butty, his pal who took a few digs and two older looking men.

It's not clear what the group were rowing over but punches were thrown after two of the guys started squaring up to one another.

After getting hit in the face, the man in the white shirt seemed to take a backseat and let his mate take over.

His curly-haired friend got into a brawl with the man wearing glasses and as he pulled him down to the chairs his friend in a blue and yellow shirt got involved with four quick jabs.

People gathered around the men and one guy can be heard shouting 'f*** him up, f*** him up,' although it's not clear who he's shouting at.

As one of the younger men was stripped of his t-shirt, the police got involved - dragging him off his contender by the belt on his shorts.

It's not clear what happened after that but it seems as though the cops had things under control at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland.

After the drama, fans were able to get back to what turned out to be a decent fight between Paul and Woodley with the YouTuber-turned-boxer defeating the UFC champ.

The judges scored the fight 77-75, 75-77, 78-74 to the social media sensation who was fighting in his home city.

Speaking to BT Sport Box Office, Paul said: "He has been boxing, striking, for 20 years. I've been doing it for three years.

"It was tougher than I expected. He is a tough opponent. He put up a good fight.

"He hit me with one real shot in the whole fight."

Woodley wasn't in agreement with his opponent though, saying: "Me and Jake need to run it back. I want a rematch. I felt like I won.

"I hit him and the ropes held him up. I landed more power shots."

Paul, however, was more interested in Woodley getting a tattoo of him, explaining: "If you get a tattoo 'I love Jake Paul' then we will run it back.

"Get the tattoo and we will run it back. I've got a tattoo artist here."
