The Nicolas Cage renaissance is upon us as the actor has four live-action films in the works thanks to his critically acclaimed film Pig.
The 58-year-old actor has become somewhat of an indie darling post his Ghost Rider and National Treasure era.
However, thanks to his recent film Pig and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, the actor is making a comeback in a big way.
The Hollywood Reporter says Nic is finally 'in demand' for the first time since 2011.

The actor currently has four films in the pipeline, with the first being Renfield, in which Cage will portray Dracula.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, not only has the actor’s work surged but also his paycheque, as he reportedly was paid close to USD $3 million (AUD $4.70m or £2.62m) for the flick - a significant jump from his $1 million (AUD $1.57m or £ 872,670) range.
Additionally, Cage has The Retirement Plan, The Old Way and Sympathy for the Devil, which are all set to be released in 2024.
However, as Movie Web reported, Cage is also in talks to star in another National Treasure flick and a sequel for Face/Off.
Earlier this year, in a Reddit AMA, Cage was asked if he would reprise the role of Castor Troy in the 1997 action thriller, to which he simply answered: “Yes.”
When another fan asked the A-lister to comment on the significance of the film, the actor was quick to shower it with praise, as well as its director John Woo.
He said: "Face/Off is my favorite action movie, largely because we had the maestro John Woo to direct.
"The process was a matter of getting video of Travolta’s dailies and trying to study it so I could copy his voice and movements. John Travolta conversely did the same with my dailies."
According to Empire, filmmaker Adam Wingard, who has previously directed The Guest and Godzilla Vs Kong, is stoked to have Cage return to the movie, as he admitted to the outlet he is ‘having such a moment’, thanks to Pig.
He added: “That’s become totally the obvious way to go now. A couple of years ago, the studio maybe would have wanted a hot, young, up-and-coming actor or something.
"Now, Nicolas Cage is one of the hottest actors in Hollywood again.”
In Pig, Cage plays reclusive Portland-based truffle forager Rob, whose beloved foraging pig goes missing.
He sets out to find those responsible for the cruel theft, while also exploring his tortured relationship with his past self - having once been a renowned chef.
