Actor who 'voiced your entire childhood' leaves people stunned as they hear her speak

The beauty of being a voice actor is that no matter how famous your characters may be, you can still leave the house without an army of paparazzi and fans knowing who you are.

Viewers know how you sound, rather than what you look like, so you can get away with nipping to the shops covertly if you can keep your mouth shut and stop yourself from switching into the tone of the cartoons you star as.

But when they do open their gobs, you'll often be pretty stunned with all of the various voices that might spill out - which is how people have been left feeling after hearing Tara Strong show off her talents.

Although you might not recognise the 51-year-old, she's something of an icon in the world of voice acting, and is behind some of the most beloved characters from our childhoods.

And trust me, there's a few you wouldn't expect.

Strong has credits in cartoons including the likes of; The New Batman Adventures, Teen Titans, Rugrats, and The Powerpuff Girls, as well as in video games such as Mortal Kombat X, Jak and Daxter and Final Fantasy X.

So, it's safe to say we would have all heard her at least once.

But seeing her switch between her normal vocals and all of these contrasting characters has really sent social media users in a spin, as they can't believe the talent of the woman who pretty much voiced our entire childhoods.

Strong uploaded a TikTok video showing off her incredible range, which left fans stunned.

One said: "Tara Strong, you are the voice for so many childhoods. Thank you for your work."

Another wrote: "You didn't have to flex on us this hard Tara!"

A third added: "Her range is absolutely insane!"

A fourth chimed in: "So basically, my whole childhood and adult life is just Tara Strong?"

While a fifth added: "This resume is stacked, it's actually almost not fair."

As you can hear, people weren't joking about Strong's abilities when it comes to lending her voice to some iconic characters.

Even though she starred in some of the shows decades ago, the American-Canadian actress was still able to perfectly replicate them all these years on.

Between voicing Timmy Turner, Twilight Sparkle in My Little Pony, Harley Quinn in the Batman: Arkham City video game and none other than Ben 10, this is a woman who has a decent set of pipes on her.

Other memorable gigs of Strong's include Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls and various characters on Family Guy such as Janet, Eliza Pinchley, Cindi, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Maria Jimenez.
