That’s right, the next chapter in the Star Wars universe has arrived, a new spin-off series centred around the beloved Obi-Wan Kenobi – and it’s available to stream now exclusively on Disney+!

This riveting six-part series marks the welcome return of Ewan McGregor as the titular Obi-Wan, a role he first played in the iconic 1999 prequel film Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Also returning from the original prequel trilogy is Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, much to fans’ delight.

The series has kicked off with a two-episode premiere which you can devour on Disney+ today. The remaining four episodes will drop every Wednesday for the next four weeks until the finale on June 22nd.

Obi-Wan Kenobi picks up exactly 10 years after Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith which famously saw our protagonist suffer a brutal defeat to his arch nemesis Darth Vader. The Sith Lord successfully corrupted Obi-Wan’s apprentice and close confidante, Anakin Skywalker, luring him to betray Obi-Wan and turn to the dark side.

Other original prequel stars poised to return are Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse, whilst the series also welcomes a host of familiar faces to the franchise including Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Rupert Friend (Homeland), and Sung Kang (Fast & Furious).

Deborah Chow returns to direct the series, having previously directed two episodes of the revered The Mandalorian series in 2019.
