People are reacting to Netflix's new show Ultimatum, calling it the most 'toxic' series they've seen in a while.

Ah, Netflix – home of some of the most addictive, if slightly unsettling, shows about love.

There's the fictional side of things that ranges from charming (Bridgerton) to outright creepy (You), and there's the near unbelievable reality side (Love is Blind).

In a new addition to the real-life love series side, we have Ultimatum, a show hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who also host Love is Blind.

Netflix's description for the series reads: "This reality series features longtime couples who test their relationships by swapping partners."

Essentially, couples go in together, become single, and start dating other people to see if the grass is greener.

The show is listed as 'scandalous, provocative, intimate', and honestly, we'd expect nothing less from the streaming platform.

Naturally, people are flocking to watch the show – and we'll probably be no exception.

Some people have already taken to social media to offer their thoughts.

Fans of Netflix's new show are delighting in the drama of 'Ultimatum'.

One user kicked off the conversation in the Netflix Bangers group by saying: "The ULTIMATUM most toxic show ever. LOVED IT."

Another wrote: "I’ve watched it all up to the latest episode there’s more episodes coming out next week and honestly all it’s done is made me so grateful for my partner, that he would never put me through anything like any of these people have had to go through it’s absolutely nuts."

A third user loved it, adding: "I thought it was similar to Temptation Island which I love... I watched this all in one day and waitin for the finale I loved this show... What other shows are similar to this one? Because now im hooked on these type of reality shows."

The new show is already in the UK's Top 10 list.

"It’s funny how their partners become monsters to them after spending time with other people. They all deserve to leave single cos none of them are ready for marriage," another said.

One user noted how fast things in the series kicked off: "I am on episode 2 and it's clear they want to get married just for the sake of it and not because they are really ready. Give an ultimatum is a stupid idea anyway.. if you love someone getting married or not is not that important."

The 'scandalous' series is already in the Top 10 charts in the UK, with all nine episodes plus a reunion special available to stream.

After seeing the passionate comments about the series, we're getting ready to binge all the episodes – and reunion – tonight.
