They say "you win some, you lose some", and that may just be the case for Prince William as weeks after getting the new title of the Prince of Wales, the royal has lost the coveted title as the 'world's hottest bald man'.

How did this happen, you ask?

Well, different characteristics were measured by the SEO agency Reboot, which used facial Golden Ratio, Twitter sentiment analysis, net worth and height for their study.

Better yet, they’ve published a full top 10 list of the celebs who have made social media swoon for those without barnets.

The company also measured each star’s cranial shine factor, which is literally how shiny their heads are. And you’d be hard pressed to find someone who didn’t appreciate a shiny head.

These scores were accumulated to form an index score out of 10 to make the ranking.

After the prince took the crown two years ago, the honour of being the 'world's hottest bald man' has now been bestowed onto none other than Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel.

Diesel, who has also starred in The Last Witch Hunter, The Pacifier and Saving Private Ryan, finished with an impressive overall score of 6.46 out of 10.

He ultimately finished highly in almost all the index factors, which led to his high sexiness scores.

The study also suggests his head is incredibly shiny, with a cranial luminance of 563.65 candelas per square meter. This means his head reflects light with 70.46 per cent of the luminous intensity of a regular light bulb.

Who needs a star on the top of their Christmas tree when you could use Diesel’s head instead?

On the other hand, the former hottest bald man list topper Prince William fell all the way down to fifth place.

With a score of 6.13 out of 10, he's only a few points ahead of the gentleman in the sixth position, Jason Statham.

Prince William managed to remain the top five because of his height. He stands at 6ft 2 which ranks him as the second tallest bald man in the group behind Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock.

The Black Adam actor towers over the competition when it comes to height at 6ft 4 however he bare scraped into the list in ninth place.

The Twitter-verse has a lot of love for the Prince and father-of-three because 15.69 percent of all tweets about him describe him as ‘sexy’.

Considering what has happened in the royal family in the last month, most notably the death of the Queen and the period of national mourning, it makes one wonder what people have been tweeting about with regards to the new Prince of Wales.

Other men on the list include Mr. Worldwide Pitbull, S.W.A.T. actor Shemar Moore and The Devil Wears Prada alum Stanley Tucci.

Read the full list and their scores below:

  1. Vin Diesel – 6.46/10
  2. Stanley Tucci – 6.33/10
  3. Shemar Moore – 6.25/10
  4. Pitbull – 6.16/10
  5. Prince William – 6.13/10
  6. Jason Statham – 5.96/10
  7. Bruce Willis – 4.75/10
  8. Joe Rogan – 4.37/10
  9. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – 3.62/10
  10. Mike Tyson – 2.50/10
