In case you missed it, Rihanna just blew us all away with her Super Bowl halftime show.

The popstar took to the field at Arizona's State Farm Stadium tonight (13 February) in what was her first live gig in over five years. And she really did not disappoint:

Descending from the skies on a huge floating platform, the 34-year-old was flanked by a group of dancers.

She then burst into a hit laden medley of absolute bangers, which included 'We Found Love', 'Diamonds', 'Rude Boy', 'Umbrella', and 'Work', to name just a few.

Fans watching were blown away by the spectacle, which ended with Rihanna rising back into the air on her floating platform.

RiRi gave the crowd banger after banger.

"This could go down as the best halftime performance of all time," wrote one viewer. "That was incredible. Amazing stuff Rihanna. F**k it I’m just going to say it. It was."

Another commented: "Rihanna really just 'okay I guess I’ll just play my little songs for y’all because you seem to like that' the #SuperBowl halftime show."

"Rihanna is effortlessly cool and that was amazing," put a third. "That’s it. That’s the tweet."

While another added: "No guests. No stunts. Minimal choreography. Sublime self possession. Incredible."

Among her halftime set was the 2011 track 'All of the Lights', which she did with Kanye.

And lots of people watching back at home were surprised that Kanye didn't come out and perform with Rihanna.

"Rihanna a real one for performance 'All of The Lights' and 'Run This Town,'" said one. "I feel like Kanye actually was supposed to be the special guest lmao."

Someone else commented: "They didn’t let Kanye do a surprise halftime performance they didn’t let Kanye jump out during 'All of the Lights' they knew it’s what we wanted and they didn’t let us have it they didn’t let us have the precious."

"The most exciting part of Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show was the moment of sheer panic I felt during 'All of the Lights' wondering if Kanye would somehow appear," put a third.

While another added: "Kanye woulda had the greatest halftime show ever .. and we never gon see it .. smmfh."

Kanye or not, it was a halftime show for the the ages and will go down as one of the best for sure.

Previously, Rihanna had boycotted the event, refusing to do it for several years.

However, speaking ahead of the performance, she said it was about time she did it.

She said: "I felt like it was now or never for me. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, it's an entertainer's dream to be on a stage like that."
