Robert Irwin Invited Out For Drink By Reality Star Leaves People Feeling Uncomfortable

Robert Irwin has been invited out for a beer by Married at First Sight star Domenica Calarco, who tagged the fellow Australian in a post on TikTok.

Irwin, the 18-year-old son of the late Steve ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin, has received a fair bit of attention recently, with viral footage showing the moment a fan came to Australia Zoo to try and get a date with him.

And now Calarco, who starred in the most recent series of Married at First Sight Australia, seems to be following suit, having posted a video on TikTok with the caption: “Come meet me for a beer @Robert Irwin.”

Speaking to the camera, the 29-year-old added in the clip: “Hey Robert, I got a beer. Why don't you come meet me for a drink?”

When someone urged her to ‘ask him out’ in the replies, Calarco wrote: “Robert, would you like to come to the Logies with me?”

But while some of her fans seemed to be egging her on, others felt uncomfortable by the 10-year age difference between the two.

One person said it was 'f**king creepy', while another asked: "Isn’t he only 18??"

Responding to one comment, Calarco wrote: "Chill out he's of legal age, wow."

Someone else then said: "Only just. Doesn't make it okay."

Others defended the reality TV star, insisting it was just a 'joke'.

One commented: "Omg can everyone chilllllllllll. It's a joke."

Agreeing, another added: "Having a beer with someone does NOT mean they have any sexual desires with that person. 🤦🏼‍♀️I'd love to drink a cold one with ole mate Rob."

Calarco also went on to defend herself in the MAFS Uncensored Facebook group after someone called her 'gross', writing: "In Australia, legal age is 16. He is 18. He can drink alcohol.

"I can ask him to come to the Logies with me, and say that he is handsome. Take a chill pill everyone."

Last month, a viral clip showed fan Megan Grass visiting the zoo to try and get a date with Irwin, who could be seen smiling bashfully in the footage as she asked for his number.

Saying he felt 'very flattered,' Irwin then tactfully diverted the conversation to ask where the woman is from, as she explained that she hailed from Utah, United States.

He then attempted to direct her to his Instagram rather than giving her his actual phone number, but she revealed that she'd already slid into his DMs the day before to let him know she'd be visiting the zoo that day.

Irwin later said the moment ‘made his entire day’, but it turns out he never actually got in touch with the potential love interest.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph's Stellar, he said: “I was very flattered by this lovely Australia Zoo guest. It certainly means a lot!”

Irwin continued: “While I wasn't able to give out my personal details, I really appreciated having a conversation with someone who definitely had a great interest and passion for the Zoo and my message.

“If they're not ready to don the khaki and go feed crocs? Mate, it's not happening!”
