Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas Have Had A Second Child

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have welcomed their second child into the world, their representative has confirmed.

The celebrity couple already have one child, a daughter named Willa, but have announced that a second daughter has now been born.

"Joe and Sophie are happy to announce the arrival of their baby girl," a representative for the couple said.

The 26-year-old Game of Thrones actor and her musician husband, 32, welcomed Willa into the world back in July 2020, but announced in an interview earlier this year that they were expecting once again.

Turner said: “It’s what life is about for me – raising the next generation.

"The greatest thing in life is seeing my daughter go from strength to strength.

“We’re so excited to be expanding the family. It’s the best blessing ever.”

Turner has spoken in the past about how she changed following the birth of her first child, explaining: “I used to be so rock ’n’ roll and spontaneous.

“I’m sure there’s a part of me that’s still like that, deep down.

“But becoming a mum, you just become way less cool. I’m like an old woman.”

Obviously, being very well-known and recognisable parents can represent a challenge as well, and Turner and Jonas have tried hard to keep a sense of normality in their daughter’s life, as they’ll no doubt continue to do.

She said: “I’m very protective of the life we’ve built.

“Every time Joe and I do a red carpet together, we make sure it’s for the right reason and makes sense for our careers.

“You never want to market yourself as a celebrity couple.

“It’s not that cool."

She continued: “And my daughter never asked for any of this.

“I know what it can do to your mental health to be in this industry, and to be photographed every day and have the comments.

“It’s not something I want her to deal with unless she says, ‘this is what I want to do'.

“We’re quite strict about that.

“We’ll encourage her to do whatever she wants but I don’t think we would professionally let her do anything until she’s 18.

“I also feel quite strongly about my daughter not becoming a nepotism child.”

Jonas and Turner were married at a ceremony in New York back in 2019, before a larger ceremony in France the next month.

Jonas’ brother Nick has also recently welcomed a child with his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas via surrogate.

The singer said he was ‘overjoyed’ to welcome their baby girl, Malti Marie.

Their older brother Kevin also has two children with his wife Danielle.
