Splendour In The Grass: What Are The Set Times For The 2022 Music Festival

There's only a few more sleeps left before Splendour in the Grass 2022 kicks off.

Splendour in the Grass is one of Australia’s biggest music festivals, taking place each year at the North Byron Parklands in Yelgun, New South Wales.

It is known for hosting many emerging Australian artists in addition to international stars, with headliners in the past including acts like Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Kanye West and Lorde.

Having been cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Splendour in the Grass is back this year with a setlist bound to win over any music fan.

Spanning the weekend of July 22 to July 24, this year’s lineup includes Tyler, the Creator, Gorillaz and The Strokes amongst many others.

While some acts, such as Surfaces, Mako Road and Adrian Eagle, have had to pull out, they have since been replaced by Australian psychedelic band Pond and rapper Tasman Keith.

Some smaller acts will be playing from 4pm to 12pm on Thursday July 21, but the festival proper will not begin until Friday July 22.

The first acts kick off at 10:30am and the headliners don't start at the Amphitheatre until Baker Boy at 3pm.

Baker Boy will play until 3:45pm and will be followed in the Amphitheatre by Yungblud (4:15pm-5:15pm), Jungle (5:45pm-6:45pm), the DMA’s (7:15pm-8:15pm), Yeah Yeah Yeahs (8:45pm-9:45pm), and then finally Gorillaz (10:30pm-12am)

Saturday will see Pup kicking off the Amphitheatre from 1:15pm to 2:00pm, followed by The Chats (2:15pm-3:00pm), The Jungle Giants (3:30pm-4:15pm), Oliver Tree (4:45pm-5:40pm), Violent Soho (6:00pm-7:00pm), Jack Harlow (7:30pm-8:30pm), Glass Animals (9:00pm-10:00pm) before the Amphitheatre closes with a bang from 10:45pm to 12:00am with The Strokes.

Other acts on Saturday include JPEGMAFIA on the Mixup Stage at 6:00pm-6:45pm and Tim Minchin closing the GW McLennan Tent at 10:00pm-11:00pm.

Sunday’s Amphitheatre starts at 1:00pm with Triple J Local until 1:30pm, followed by The Snuts (2:00pm-2:45pm), Pond (3:15pm-4:00pm), G Flip (4:30pm-5:30pm), Grinspoon (6:00pm-7:00pm), Duke Dumont (7:30pm-8:30pm), Liam Gallagher (9:00pm-10:00pm) and finishing with Tyler, the Creator from 10:45pm to 12:00am.

At Sunday’s GW McLennan Tent will be Parquet Courts at 8:30pm to 9:30pm, before Amyl & The Sniffers finish with a bang at 10:00pm to 11:00pm.

There’s a lot of acts at a lot of different festival venues this year, so be sure to check out the full lineup on the Splendour in the Grass website.
