How Long Are The Episodes In Stranger Things Season 4?

How Long Are The Episodes In Stranger Things Season 4?

Everything you need to know about the new season of Stranger Things

Stranger Things season 4 is finally upon us after an almost 3 year wait since the third season premiered in July 2019. There is plenty to be excited for as we dive back into the 80s science fiction world which we all love so much.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new season from episode run times to the cast…

How Long Will Each Episode Be?

While episodes of the previous seasons have generally been under an hour long, it’s been revealed that the episodes of the fourth instalment will clock in at over an hour each, with the finale episode running at a whopping 2 and a half hours! In fact, with all the episodes combined it will be like watching 9 movies.

Even if you wanted to try the outrageous feat of binge watching the new season in a day, this won’t be possible, as the new instalment will be released in two parts, the first part will have the beginning 7 episodes and the 2nd will have episode 8 and the finale.

Release Date

The first part of the season is being released on 27 May 2022, and then we have a month to catch up as the second part won’t be out until 1 July. But don’t fret, this is not the end of ‘Stranger Things,’ as producer Shaun Levy told Screen Rant that there will be a season 5. However, the 5th season will unfortunately be the last as Levy explains ‘we never wanted to run on fumes.'

Cast

The old cast will be returning for the new instalment, with actors like Milly Bobby Brown having become a household name since season 3.

We are also going to see a considerable amount of new faces added to the screen for this super-sized season.

Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street) is to play Victor Creel, a disturbed man at the Hawkins psychiatric institution. Joseph Quinn will play Eddie Munsen, a metalhead, DnD fanatic at the gang’s new highschool. We also have Game of Thrones' Tom Wlaschiha as Dmitri, the Russian prison guard.
