Sylvester Stallone is set to make a big splash on the small screen as he stars in a hard-hitting new series that fans of the gangster genre shouldn't dare miss. Watch the mind-blowing trailer below:

The iconic Hollywood action star is portraying Dwight 'The General' Manfredi in the new Paramount+ series, Tulsa King.

Manfredi is a New York Mafia capo who just finished a 25-year prison sentence and, upon release, his boss sends him from the Big Apple to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to establish criminal operations there.

He obviously doesn't know the area and is a complete fish out of water, nor does he have any connections in Oklahoma's second largest city.

But judging by the first look above, Dwight has his sights set on becoming the boss of Tulsa.

"Soon I'm gonna own this city," he declares.

In a twist, Dwight starts to think the Mob don’t have his best interests at heart by relocating him. So, he establishes a group of oddballs from the town into his fledgling mob.

Academy Award nominee Stallone is joined by Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, A.C. Peterson, Garrett Hedlund and Desperate Housewife's Dana Delany in the cast.

From Taylor Sheridan, the co-creator of the smash hit and critically acclaimed Paramount+ modern western series Yellowstone and Terence Winter, the executive producer of the iconic crime series The Sopranos, Tulsa King is in the hands of experts.

Paramount+

Winter also wrote the screenplay for another one of our top picks, The Wolf of Wall Street, which went on to score a Best Screenplay nomination at the 2013 Academy Awards.

The series is set to have the edge and humour Stallone fans come to expect in one of his projects plus the guns, drugs and violent crime TV show fans adore.

Tulsa King premieres 13 November on Paramount+. You can start your seven day free trial, then £6.99 per month. New subscribers only & 18+. T&Cs apply.
