Everyone remain calm as Taylor Swift Tickets go on general sale today

The general sale begins 10 am for the four Sydney shows and 2 pm for the three Melbourne shows.

Aussie fans will have one final go at getting themselves tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, with the general sale beginning at 10am today.

So drop everything you’re doing and head over to the Ticketek website right this second.

The general sale begins 10am AEST for the Sydney shows, and tickets for the Melbourne shows can be purchased from 2pm onwards.

“We recommend entering the Ticketek Lounge at least 15 minutes before tickets go on sale,” said Ticketek in a statement released on Twitter.

“Please don't leave the page or refresh your browser. The page refreshes itself frequently to let more fans through as others complete their purchase.”

Pre-sale for two shows in Melbourne and three Sydney shows occurred earlier in the week.

A staggering 4 million Swifties attempted to get tickets in the pre-sale period, breaking the Aussie record for the most number of people in the Ticketek queue.

Some fans waited up to six hours in Monday’s pre-sale only to find all the tickets had been sold.

Six hours! That’s like listening to All Too Well (10 Minute Version) 36 times and still not getting tickets.

“It’s unclear how many tickets were sold on Monday’s pre-sale or have been set aside for Friday’s general sale, but based off the total, that’s roughly a one in ten success rate,” said a spokesperson for Swift.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, only around 1.7 per cent of the entire Aussie population will be able to get their hands on the highly coveted tickets.

However, luckily Swift announced tickets for two additional shows, one in Melbourne and another in Sydney, will also go on sale today, meaning up to 600,000 fans have the chance to witness the 3 hour long concert extravaganza.

Tickets for the 44-song setlist range from $79 (G Reserve) to $379 (A Reserve). There are also VIP packages available from $350 to $1250.
