Taylor Swift made a pretty bold move to kick off her Eras tour which started last week (17 March), and it's left fans seriously scratching their heads.

The 33-year-old opted to take a dive headfirst straight into the stage, and fans are desperately trying to figure out why she did what she did and equally, if she's feeling alright after the nail-biting stunt.

On Friday, Swift commenced her highly-anticipated music tour to take on a whopping 52 shows across the United States starting at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The Eras tour marks the sixth headlining concert tour by the 'Bad Blood' singer after having not toured for her studio albums Lover, Folklore and Evermore due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to this, the new tour will see fans singing along to all ten of her albums, including her latest, Midnights.

Throughout Swift's Friday show, she took performed some pretty cool transitions to artistically demonstrate her switches between each of the different 'eras' which represented each of her albums.

On the second night of the tour, however, Swift showed off one fairly show-stopping stunt.

Seen through crowd footage that has since gone viral, the singer can be seen walking towards the edge of the stage, after finishing the song 'Tim McGraw' from her 2006 self-titled debut album.

Approaching the main section of the stage catwalk, she then threw herself off headfirst before disappearing.

An audible gasp can be heard by all the Swifties at the show totally baffled by what on earth they had just seen.

They couldn't wait to take to social media and share their footage from the night alongside their shock at Swift's swimming pool stunt.

One Twitter user wrote: "The dive was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I was so caught off guard LMAO."

"EXCUSE ME TAYLOR SWIFT JUST DID A DIVE HEAD FIRST INTO THE STAGE WHAT," posted another, clearly, stunned fan.

A third added: "WHY DID TAYLOR DIVE LIKE THAT IS SHE OKAY LMFAOOOOO."

"Still can’t believe I saw taylor dive into the stage last night," said another still in disbelief by the whole ordeal.

However, one Twitter user revealed to fans how they thought Swift was able to pull off the stunt.

They tweeted a list explaining 'the magic behind Taylor’s dive after her secret songs'.

It began: "1. A panel in the stage opens up. 2. She dives when the light turns green. 3. A pre-recorded video plays showing her 'swimming' underneath the stage. 4. She reappears for the Midnights era."

They concluded the tweet rating the stunt a '13/10 transition'.
