The Mandalorian Season 3: Release, Trailer, Cast and More

Everything you need to know about the new season of The Mandalorian

Everyone’s favourite bounty hunter is back. After two years since the second season and complications with delayed release dates we finally know when to expect the new instalment of The Mandalorian. So buckle up and get ready to once again plunge into the vast Star Wars Universe.

Release Date

With the latest Star Wars craze being ‘Kenobi’, it has been revealed that the next season of ‘Mando’ will premiere in February 2023, so we still have a little time to wait. It will be worth it however as we will also get to see the new series of ‘Ahsoka’, which will reportedly come out in 2023.

Trailer & Plot

Disney have once again done their classic move of playing a teaser that only in-person attendees of the Star Wars Celebration could see, so the trailer cannot be found online. Nevertheless, we do know a few snippets about the clip which can help sus out the plot.

One of the main focuses of the trailer seems to be concerning Din Djarin’s exile from the Mandalorians after he removed his helmet in season 2, Din can only get forgiveness by visiting the now wasteland of Mandalore. The teaser shows the first live action shots ever seen of Mandalore, as Din’s ship heads to the destroyed planet.

Another interesting point, is that the teaser appears to put a lot of emphasis on Clone Wars favourite Bo Katan, shots can be seen of the antagonist with Grogu, which has led to questions of a team up between the two, despite Bo Katan’s mission to take the Darksaber from Din. She can be seen sitting on a throne, remarking that she’s unimpressed with the Mandolorian.

Cast

We will of course be seeing both Grogu and Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin after they were last seen in the ‘Book of Boba Fett’, and as mentioned it has been confirmed that Katee Sackhoff will be playing a major part as Bo Katan Kryze.

Carl Weathers will also be returning as Greef Karga, even though he only featured in one episode of the last season. Another important appearance will be Omid Abtahi once again taking on his role as Doctor Pershing, the antagonist appeared in the teaser but we are yet to know what his role will be in season 3 of The Mandalorian. Giancarlo Esposito has also confirmed that he will be returning as Moff Gideon, who is sure to provide problems for Mando and Grogu on their journeys.
