Tom Felton responds to fans’ idea that he should have ‘got together’ with co-star Emma Watson

Tom Felton responds to fans’ idea that he should have ‘got together’ with co-star Emma Watson

He's not not interested...

As if Potterheads couldn't get any more feral for a Draco/Hermione romance, Tom Felton has finally responded to fans who think he and his former co-star Emma Watson should have 'got together'.

Ever since they first appeared together in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, there has been an undeniable chemistry between Tom and Emma – a fact that Emma will tell you herself.

Emma has confessed that she 'fell in love' with Felton on set, admitting that she 'used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet... and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day'.

So, it's not as if these fan theories are being plucked out of thin air, is it?

That's why those who have been shipping Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger will be thrilled to hear Tom's thoughts.

"I think it was only through comic cons that I was introduced to this idea of ‘shipping’," he told The Independent.

If you're behind Tom on this one, 'shipping' is, of course, when fans root for two characters – or in some cases, real life people – to get together.

So, moment of truth, what does Tom think of the fans who ship him and Emma together?

"I know Emma and I don’t have any problems with it."

Sounds like an official Save The Date, if you ask me! We can start looking at wedding venues in the morning.

On a more serious note, Emma and Tom really do have an unbreakable bond, and have managed to stay incredibly close after their Harry Potter years.

In fact, Tom credits Emma as one of the people who helped him open up in his new autobiography.

"I was encouraged by a few people, Emma Watson specifically, to tell the whole story and not just sort of cherry-pick the fluffy bits," he revealed.

Warner Bros.

"Not just because it was cathartic for me. But also in the hope that sharing those parts of my story will help others that are maybe not going through the best time."

It's kind of perfect that these two still rely on and trust each other so much – you have to admit, it's pretty hard not to jump on-board the Hermione/Draco bandwagon.

Tom Felton has even admitted he would consider returning as Draco Malfoy if another Harry Potter film was ever made.

"I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t consider it," he teased. "I definitely don’t miss Draco Malfoy, but I am very affectionately linked to him."

Give the people what they want, Tom!

Beyond the Wand by Tom Felton is out on 13 October.
