Thomas Alexander Walker was born in the small town of Kilsyth (near Glasgow) in 1991, but grew up in Manchester.

Whilst in Manchester, his love for music flourished, with the 30 year old himself saying that he was inspired by the talents of AC/DC and Michael Jackson.  

Walker’s career began after he graduated with a bachelor's degree from the London College of Creative Media in 2014.

Fresh out of education, it didn't take Walker long to kickstart his career, soon being snapped up and offered a contract.

In 2017 he released his single “Just You and I”, which was picked as Elvis Duran’s Artist of the Month Award and earned him recognition from big names in the music industry, such as George Ezra and James Blunt ,for whom he performed as a support act for later that year. 

However it was his next big hit, “Leave a Light On”, that really changed Walker’s career forever.

The song flew onto every UK radio late in 2017, and soon influenced many charts across the globe.

This single arrived as part of his debut studio album, “What A Time To Be Alive”, and was the reason that in 2019 he won the Best Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards, as well as the song further being nominated for the Best British Single that Year. 

Since then Walker’s career has not slowed down, continuing to be popular among all age groups, it is no wonder why he once again earned himself a slot at the world renowned Glastonbury festival in 2022.
