What Is Tom Tugendhat's Net Worth In 2022?

Tom Tugendhat is running to be the next prime minister, but what is his net worth?

MP Tom Tugendhat is aiming to succeed Boris Johnson as the leader of the Conservative party and Prime Minister of the UK

Having never held a cabinet position, and widely regarded as an outside ticket, it is not likely he will succeed in his bid, but nevertheless, we will hear increasingly more from the former lieutenant colonel in the coming weeks.

The MP for Tonbridge and Malling’s star had been rising slowly but surely as he first took office in 2015.

He has chaired the Foreign Affairs Committee since 2017, and has competently responded to such incidents as the Russian poisoning of Sergei Skripal in Salisbury.

Tugendhat’s twitter feed is peppered with his views on British foreign policy and the dangers posed by rising authoritarian powers like China

The MP’s oration about the disastrous Afghanistan evacuation, which drew on his own experience as a soldier silenced the House of Commons and introduced him to the public consciousness.

As the first televised debate between Conservative leadership hopefuls looks set to air next week, many are wondering how much the Londoner is worth?

What Is Tom Tugendhat’s Net Worth?

As of 2022, the 49 year old is worth an estimated $4 million (£3.4 million) according to apumone.

Tugendhat voted to remain in the EU, but his principled stance on foreign policy meant that he rose steadily through the ranks of the post-Brexit Conservative party.

The Bristol University-graduate says he is running on a platform to restore integrity, trust and capable government to Britain.

To back up his suitability for this role, he draws heavily on past service to the country in Iraq and Afghanistan, a duty that almost cost his life and for which he was twice wounded.

The veteran says that the naughtiest thing he has ever done is to invade a country, a far cry from Theresa May’s famous wheat field romp.

Tugendhat took a winding path into politics. He first studied theology and then Islamic studies, before learning Arabic in Yeman.

A career as a journalist and public relations consultant was followed by his notable army career.

The leadership hopeful has two children and is married to Anissa Tugendhat, a French judge and senior civil servant. He even holds French citizenship.
