Tommy Lee has disgusted fans after sharing a controversial Instagram post, which social media users have slammed as ‘gross’.
Lee, 60, isn’t exactly known for toeing the line, having welcomed a fair amount of controversy into his life over the years – from his volatile relationship with Baywatch star Pamela Anderson to getting himself kicked out of the MTV Video Music Awards after scrapping with Kid Rock.

Just a few months back, you’ll remember he also shocked the internet with a surprise d**k pic, having posted a photo of it ALL hanging out.
The Mötley Crüe star appeared to be sitting on the edge of a jacuzzi in the image, which was captioned: “Ooooopppsss.”

Now he’s prompted further outrage with another particularly off-colour post... Thankfully one not involving any genitalia this time, but not something some have found any less shocking.

Lee posted a meme on Instagram, which featured an image of two people at a club posing for a picture.
It said: “When you slip a Viagra into her drink because you have a funny feeling she’s not being honest with you.”
In the caption, Lee doubled down on the post, arguing it was ‘hilarious’.
“Ref**kinglax people! … it’s the internet … it’s hilarious!” he wrote.

But many people have been unable to find the funny side of things, saying they felt the message was ‘transphobic’.
One said: “Love some casual transphobia. Transphobes claim we're the ones who are obsessed with genitals yet posts things like this.”
Someone else said: “Do you know how much hatred and ridicule trans people are getting? You can do better, Tommy, you are a modern man.”

A third wrote: “1) the subject of slipping things into anyone’s drink without their knowledge is not a funny joke.
“2) the connotations about trans people here. It’s a lot to unpack on one post. And now there’s people who I would be surprised if you aligned with them in real life, out here cheering you on. What are you trying to accomplish? Are we supposed to believe you are not transphobic now. Which side are you on? Where exactly do you stand?”
A fourth added: “Transgender kids and adults are being attacked everyday so when i see this shit i can't even laugh at it. It's pathetic to post this stuff. There's so much funny stuff to post so do that and stop it with this shit.”
Some also pointed out that he once allegedly drugged Anderson before they got married.

Speaking to Dax Shepard on the Armchair Expert podcast, Anderson said: “I’d never done [ecstasy] before.
“I didn’t even know he’d put it in my drink. Don’t do this, I was saying it’s romantic because it's a once - you know… It kind of worked out.”
She continued: “My skin was melting, I was drugged out.
“[Tommy] goes, ‘Do you want to get married?. And I go, ‘Absolutely’.”
A screenshot of his post also ended up on Reddit, where one user wrote: “The way he thinks it’s funny when it’s also known he drugged Pamela before they got married. So gross!!”
Someone else commented: “’Jokes’ like this normalize r*pe culture. It’s not funny.”
Another added: “It normalizes transphobia, too. All around disgusting and f**ked up.”
