A driver has had an incredible near miss after a log pierced his windscreen in a terrifying Final Destination-style accident. See the aftermath:

The video shows a giant log through the windshield of a white truck, with a huge lorry pulled over in front of it. The vehicle parked in front had been transporting several of the massive tree trunks.

The rogue timber could be seen directly in the middle of window, appearing to miss both seats in the front of the truck.

The man filming, who appears to be the driver, mentions the film Final Destination in the video, adding the hashtag #FinalDestination on TikTok.

He can be heard saying: "Final Destination, literally."

TikTok user @alow420 posted the video on Friday (21 May) and it has had more than three million views since, before being reposted on Twitter.

Shocked social media users likened the sight to a scene from 2003's Final Destination 2, where a pile up is caused by fallen logs on a highway.

When one of the characters in the film has a premonition about the accident, the people she manages to warn are able to 'cheat' death, but end up dying in horrific circumstances later in the movie.

The log scene in Final Destination 2 kicks off the premise for the whole film.

And it resonated with anyone who had seen any of the horror franchise films, with 'Final Destination' trending on Twitter after the video went viral.

It was shared on Twitter with the caption: "Pretty sure this is every millennial's nightmare."

And it seems there is a collective level of trauma inflicted on anyone who saw the film at a formative age, with people responding to share their thoughts.

One person replied saying: "Final Destination taught us to avoid EVERYTHING at all costs! Lol."

Another said it wasn't just logs on trucks that viewers of the film are now carrying around underlying phobias of.

They wrote: "As a millennial I have been taught never to drive anywhere near this... Final Destination also ruined laser eye surgery, garbage disposals, pigeons, dentists, goldfish, tanning salons."

The tanning salon scene in Final Destination 3 is also etched into people's memories.

Another agreed, adding: "Why we switch lanes, don't walk under billboards, cross the street when they're installing glass in a building, and avoid John Deer lawnmowers close to barbed wire fences."

In case you've not seen the films, all of the above cause untimely and painful deaths to characters in the film.

Others think it would mark the end of their time as a driver, with one commenting: "In the first two seconds, I was like 'NOT THE FINAL DESTINATION THING'.

"This would be a wrap on driving for me."
