Kevin Smith has claimed that there was an alternative - and shocking AF - ending to the Joker movie that was released earlier this year.
If you cast your minds back, you'll remember the Todd Phillips film ended with Arthur Fleck (played by Joaquin Phoenix) locked in a psychiatric ward but now, filmmaker Kevin Smith has spoken about a secret alternative ending.

Outlining the information, he explained: "There's that last f**king scene, somebody - I can't say who told me - somebody f***ing told me because I don't know whether this is out there - maybe it's on the internet. Did you hear what the ending was supposed to be?
"I hope this is f***ing true, man, because I was like 'what the f***?!' This is what I was told by somebody who works in the business and they're in the know - he's f***ing super smart and a great storyteller and s*** - and I don't know where he got it but it's reliable information. I don't know if he's supposed to share it so I don't know if I'm supposed to share it, but f*** it, it's too good to f***ing not share. So I don't wanna give the person up."
He's really teasing us here...
He went on: "I was talking to this person about, like, 'I didn't think you needed him in the hospital at the end, I thought him on the f***ing car felt like the end of the movie, it was insanely triumphant.'

"He said, 'Originally the ending in the hospital was different.' I don't know if this is true or not but when I heard this I about c**med myself and that's saying this movie's already classic, as far as I'm concerned.
"But then what might have been and who knows if it was just in script but here goes. So he's in the hospital and he laughs and chuckles and the lady goes 'what's so funny' and he says 'I was just thinking of something funny'.
"What was supposed to happen was you flashed back to the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne and it was him killing Thomas and Martha Wayne and the boy was screaming and crying and he turned to walk away then he turned back, shrugged and shot the kid. Credits..."
He then reacted - to his own story: "WHAT THE F***, MAN. COULD YOU IMAGINE, THAT'S LITERALLY THE BIGGEST F*** YOU TO THE AUDIENCE. It's like this world has no Batman - it's just all f***ing Jokers - I was like, 'that network f***ing deep, man.'

"I would have been outraged as a Batman fan and elated as a fan of film. I was like, 'You ballsy motherf***er, oh you did it.' But they didn't do it."
